Well known American singer, Gloria Gaynor, visited Marija Bistrica on Monday, December 20, 2010. After she took the tour of our national sanctuary, she headed to Bluesun Hotel Kaj.
In the hotel, Gloria enjoyed in top gastronomic delicacies, and the view from the hotel.
The singer, most known for her big hit from 1979 “I Will Survive“, came to Zagreb as Ivo Gamulin Gianni's guest. Gloria and Gianni will be the stars of the „Christmas Story „concert in Vatroslav Lisinski concert hall.
At the very concert Gloria will perform, together with Gianni biggest domestic and world's hit singles, accompanied by symphonic orchestra from Croatian Radio-Television.
The concert will also be a promotion of Ivo Gamulin Gianni's Christmas album, which was made in collaboration with the famous composer John Cameron.
A duet of Gianni and Gloria, made especially for this occasion, took place on Gianni’s album.
This is the first visit to Croatia for the “Queen of Disco“, as the American media like to call her. Before Gloria came to Croatia, she said she would like to try local food and visit the Croatian national sanctuary. For that reason, the concert organizers prepared a special visit for her to Marija Bistrica, and Bluesun Hotel Kaj.
Hotel Kaj, located on the northern slopes of Zagrebačka gora, in the very heart of Marija Bistrica, offers an individual experience of this unique town in Zagorje.
The view of lifelike sceneries in central Croatia knitted with vine and forests of oak and ash left Gloria Gaynor speechless. The team of experts who lead the gastronomic program of Kaj Hotel made a special variety of dishes just for her.
Even though Gloria was here for a day, she was thrilled by the hospitality, and she already gave the impression that this will not be her only visit to Croatia.
