Trogir is not a city to be rushed through, but one to be discovered slowly — through narrow stone streets, hidden squares and centuries of history preserved on a small island between the mainland and Čiovo.
Trogir’s old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is considered one of the best-preserved historic centres on the Adriatic. Its narrow stone streets bring together Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque details, while its best-known landmarks include the Cathedral of St Lawrence with Radovan’s Portal, Kamerlengo Fortress and the picturesque waterfront promenade.
Thanks to its compact size, Trogir is ideal for a day trip: small enough to explore with ease, yet rich enough to reveal a new layer of Dalmatian history at every turn. Its hidden courtyards, stone façades, small squares and lively cafés give the town a special charm, blending a historic setting with a relaxed Mediterranean way of life.
